Chung Eulbyung (1934-2009) was a South Korean novelist who debuted in 1963 through Hyundae Munhak with the short stories “Budo” (부도 Bankruptcy) and “Banmoral” (반모랄 Anti-Morality). Chung was known for being both prolific and meticulous with research details, keeping works both accurate and high in quality. Jeon Kwangyong (全光鏞, 1919-1988) was a South Korean novelist and scholar of Korean literature. Known as “the author who wrote with his feet”[1] thanks to his habit of personally visiting settings to do research for his writing, Jeon made use of short, unemotional sentence compositions in his work. He began his literary career in 1955 when he won the Chosun Ilbo New Writer’s Contest with the short story “Heuksando” (흑산도 Heuksando Island). His representative works include “Kkeoppittan Ri” (꺼삐딴 리 Kapitan Ri) (1962).[2] Jeon was the recipient of the Dongin Literary Award and the Sasanggye Research Prize.

Lee Oksu depicts youths as extraordinary individuals who radiate in the shadows, capable of singing and dancing without the reliance on background beats. The author received a doctoral degree in young adult novel studies from Korea University and taught at the university. Her literary works encompass various young adult novels, including anthologies such as Children Turned into Monsters and individual works like Kissing My Life, I Am K, It’s Okay, It’s a Happy Ending, There’s No Such Thing as Dog Days, and more. Notably, Lee Oksu was honored with the prestigious Four Seasons Literary Award for her work, The Blue Ladder.

Hwang Bo-reum gained a bachelor degree in computer engineering and carried out her career as a software programmer at LG electronics. Multiple experiences of hoping her jobs did not deter her identity as a person who reads and writes every day.
