Published in 2008, this short story collection by Lee Seung-u introduces nine of his stories including “Whatever, Whichever,” “Room,” and “The House of the Other.” A man who starts to write a novel from his guilt over his father’s death, a man who is subject to physical violence, and a man who is driven out of his home are the characters of these stories, and in them, the writer points out that what we consider mundane is exceptional, and that what we think of as bleak and negligible is a portrait of everyday life.
