This novel by So Jaewon was published in 2013, and adapted into an eponymous film in 2016. It tells the story of a man who becomes trapped inside a collapsed tunnel on his way home from work. It is a realistic depiction of the latent violence within a society where an unexpected accident leads to the financial considerations of loss rather than to the rescue of a survivor.
