Description 작품 소개

The world of “what if’s” created by the author Lee Hee-young, beloved by 400,000 readers

The shaker opens up the door to you that summer

Five time travels to save your friends and keep your love

Lee Hee-young, who has garnered much attention with her wide range of genres and universe of depth created through works like Nana, Tester, and Salt Child, unveils her first time-slip fantasy Shaker. The novel follows the main protagonist, stuck between love and friendship, as he travels back in time five times to realize the importance of “here, and now.” As the past, present, and future are mixed like a cocktail of different drinks that create beautiful colors and flavors, the protagonist’s struggles and good intentions to find the best path in the childhood he is reunited with become clearer. Readers are invited to drink into the time of Na-woo, Inae, and Ha-je.

“So if I drink this, I can go wherever I want to go, right?”

32-year-old Na-woo follows a cat he stumbles upon and drinks a non-alcoholic cocktail of mysterious colors. When he wakes up the next day, he finds himself in the universe where he is 19 years old again, the year tainted with his most painful memories. Having traveled 13 years back in time, Na-woo’s friend Inae, who died from a tragic accident, is still alive, and his now-girlfriend Ha-je is dating him. In his second chance at life, Na-woo gets to reunite with his long-lost friend, but he is stuck at a crossroads between love and friendship: If he saves the 19-year-old Inae, Ha-je may spend the rest of her life besides him instead of Na-woo. With five days remaining until the day of the accident, Na-woo wakes up again in the universe where he is 15 years old again – a way for him to reattach the buttons of the three friends’ fate that were sewn wrong the first time. Now that he has the chance to fix the past, it will be Na-woo instead of Inae who will be coming to the appointment. How will these changes that reopen the intertwined destinies of the three friends recreate the future? That is how Na-woo and Ha-je meet again, in that summer of unsullied greenery.
