The main character “Eol-um (meaning “ice” in Korean)” was cast for freezing coke and coffee in the ice tray for everyone. For a moment she thinks to herself, “Did they think it was funny to recommend me for a show like this for a reason like that? Didn’t it hit them, not even for a moment, that things would get awkward between us when I found out?” (p. 34) before deciding to stay on the show and finding out “what others think about herself (or the detailed reason why she was selected)” instead of dropping out and leaving without knowing anything.
