전민희
Jeon Min-hee made her first debut in 1999 with The Stone of Days. She published works such as The Tower of the Sun, “Children of the Rune: Winterer,” “Children of the Rune: Demonic,” The Fir and the Hawk, and The Heirs. All of her 28 works have been translated and published abroad in countries like Japan, China, Taiwan, and Thailand. She also served as a judge of the Chosun Ilbo Fantasy Literature Award and the NHN Game Literature Award. It is not an exaggeration to say that in the field of genre fiction, Jeon Min-hee is one of the most popular Korean writers in Asia. All of her published novels have been translated and exported overseas, and they have received enthusiastic responses from the international audience. In 2006, Yahoo Japan picked the Children of the Rune series as one of the most-read YA novels of the year, and in 2007, she was invited to a signing event hosted in Taiwan to celebrate the publication of the collector’s edition of her series. Indeed, the Children of the Rune series has earned enormous popularity worldwide; according to the Tokyo Korean Cultural Center, it was announced to be the best-selling Korean novel series in Japan as of 2013. Two books of her series have been adapted into an online game with a server in the United States, Russia, Europe, China, and Japan.
