Chung Eulbyung

Chung Eulbyung (1934-2009) was a South Korean novelist who debuted in 1963 through Hyundae Munhak with the short stories “Budo” (부도 Bankruptcy) and “Banmoral” (반모랄 Anti-Morality). Chung was known for being both prolific and meticulous with research details, keeping works both accurate and high in quality. Chung was awarded the Hyundae Munhak Literary Award, the Hankook Ilbo Literary Award, the Seoul City Culture Prize, and the Republic of Korea Literary Award.
