Born in Seoul and majoring in modern dance, Kim Yun-hee published the full-length novel "Lost You" in 1984. This novel, which records the author's experiences af-ter losing a loved one, sold over 2.2 million copies, achieving million-seller status and gaining widespread popularity. According to a survey by a South Korean newspaper, "Lost You" ranked among the top 100 best-selling books of the 20th century and was translated into Japanese.

"Lost You" depicts the love story between the author and a man she met during her time studying dance. While studying in the United States, she discovers that the man she thought was dead is still alive. However, the man, despite surviving, eventually takes his own life, leaving the protagonist alone. This work was adapted into a film of the same name in 1991.

Following "Lost You," Kim Yun-hee published works such as "Season of Un-happiness," "Blooming Flowers," and "Alone Again" before passing away in 2007 due to an illness.
