Heo Yeongseon (1957~) is a South Korean poet. Heo lives in Jeju Island, and has written poetry about the 4.3 Incident, a tragic moment in the history of Jeju, as well as haenyeo (female divers of Jeju). By remembering the haenyeo’s will to live and the tragedy of modern history, Heo considers the meaning of life.
