From a young age, she enjoyed freely imagining and drawing. She studied philosophy and Korean language and literature in university. In 1996, she won the Dongguk Children's Literature Award for her poem "No Parking," and in 2000, her fairy tale "The People Who Protect the Seeds" was awarded in the Changbi Good Children's Book Contest. In 2024, she was selected as a candidate for the IBBY Honor List in Korea.

Lee Beomseon (1920-1982) was a South Korean novelist. Alongside Son Chang-sop, Chang Yong-hak, and Hwi Sunwoo, he was one of the representative writers of postwar literature in 1950s Korea. His main works include the short stories “Hangmaeul saramdeul” (학마을 사람들 The People of Hak Village) (1955) and “Obaltan” (오발탄 “A Stray Bullet”) (1959).

Pahk Yon-Hee (1918-2008) is a Korean author. Though his early works focus on themes of futility and decadence, his works after the Korean War demonstrate a marked shift towards denouncing the irrationality of society and encompassing historical novels as well. His representative works include the 1956 short story “Jeungin” (증인 Witness), the 1958 novel Geu yeojaui yeonin (그 여자의 연인 The Man She Loved), and the 1975 novel Hong Gildong (홍길동 Hong Gildong).

Chong Chaebong (1946-2001) was a South Korean children’s literature writer. He developed a new genre—children’s literature for adults—that established a wide readership among adults. His works have been recognized for high-quality writing, breaking the prejudice that children’s literature is inferior to adult fiction. His most acclaimed work, Oseam (오세암) , was made into an animation film and was successful in the entertainment industry, receiving awards in many international film festivals.
