
Go Daeyeong

Go Dae-young is a children's literature writer in South Korea. In 1995, he worked as a picture book editor at Glibet Children's Publishing Company. The picture book "Dog Poop," the first one he created with author Kwon Jung-saeng, garnered significant attention in South Korea. From 2006 onwards, he began publishing the "Jiwon and Byeonggwan" series of picture books based on real stories experienced by his own children. The characters Jiwon and Byeonggwan are the real names of Go Dae-young's children. Capturing vivid episodes from everyday life, he illustrated them with lively and witty drawings. The series explores the everyday experiences of growing children, addressing emotions such as satisfaction, accomplishment, worry, anxiety, and competitiveness. Among the series, "Biting Nails" and "Cleaning Inside the House" have been included in textbooks.
