Description 작품 소개

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the publication of Park No-hae's "Dawn of Labor," a revised edition has been released. "Dawn of Labor," which was published in nearly one million copies despite the strict censorship imposed by the military government in 1984, has been acclaimed as a "classic of the times."

This revised edition creatively inherits the aesthetics and spirit of the original edition from 1984. The "silk printing" technique used for the cover, an age-old printing method, was completed through artisanal labor rather than mechanized processes. Additionally, the distinctive typeface from the original 1984 edition has been preserved as much as possible, with even the characters that have become difficult to read over the years painstakingly revived through manual labor. Readers can feel the power of "living letters," each unique and different, rather than computer-generated fonts.

Author Bio 작가 소개

Not until the publication of Nodongui Saebyeok in 1984 did Korean literary world and readers take notice of Park Nohae. His distinctive career as a laborer and the mystique of being so-called a “faceless poet” resonated with the atmosphere of those days when discussions on the people literature were relatively active, which in turn positioned him and his first poetry collection as sort of a cultural icon of the mid-late 1980s.
