Lee Heejoo began her career in 2016, winning the Munhak Dongnae College Literary Fiction Award for her novel Phantom Limb Pain. She is the author of the collection of stories, A World of Love, the full-length novels Sacred Boy and My Angel, and the novella Mayumi. Her writing uncovers and investigates love and violence, beauty and ugliness, and strange desires. She is interested in consciousness that exists beyond what is “right” and “wrong.”
