Description 작품 소개

This is the first novel by Lee Jungim to be published in ten years. This collection of nine stories portrays the lives of modern people who have lost their place of residence and are navigating life on the move, with a focus on relatable themes and perspectives. The various characters in the nine short stories are socially marginalised or outcasts, like ‘aliens’ who have crash-landed on Earth.

These characters are as follows: Miyoung, who was abandoned in an orphanage due to poverty, and ‘I’, who developed psychological deficiencies after losing her father in childhood, Choi Jeongmi, who suffers from identity confusion due to her different skin colour, Hyunrim, who lives an isolated life, cut off from the world, and Kay, who has completely lost her footing in the harsh conditions of life.

This collection of novellas portrays the characters’ lives and their inner workings with a warm but sharp eye.
