Yoon Sunme did her elementary, secondary and university studies in Argentina. After receiving a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature in the University of Buenos Aires, she earned a doctoral degree at the Complutense University of Madrid with a thesis about Spanish Medieval Literature. She returned to Korea in 1997 and taught for years in several universities as a part-time lecturer. She also worked for four years in Arirang TV subtitling films, dramas and documentaries. She has been working for 25 years as translator, scriptwriter and announcer at KBS World Radio and has been teaching for 12 years in the Translation Academy of LTI Korea. Besides these activities, she has translated to Spanish more than 15 literary works, such as The Vegetarian, Human Acts and Almond.
초등학교, 중.고등학교 및 대학을 아르헨티나에서 다녔다. 부에노스 아이레스 국립대학에서 스페인문학을 전공하였다. 석사를 마치고 스페인 마드리드 콤풀루텐세 대학에서 중세 스페인문학으로 박사학위를 받았다. 한국에는 1997년에 와 대학강사로 활동함. 아리랑 TV 에서도 4년 동안 자막 번역작가로 활동함. 25년동안 KBS 국제방송 스페인어반에서 프리랜서 작가 및 아나운서로 활동했음. 현재는 한국문학번역원 번역아카데미에서 서어권 전문교원으로 활동 중. 동시에 문학 번역에 몰두하고 있음. 『채식주의자』, 『소년이 온다』, 『아몬드』등의 문학 작품들을 스페인어로 번역하였음.
Nacida en Corea, hizo sus estudios primarios, secundarios y universitarios en Argentina. Se licenció en Letras en la Universidad de Buenos Aires y se doctoró en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid en el área de Filología Española Medieval. Reside en Corea desde 1997. Enseñó español durante más de una década en varias universidades. Trabajó en Arirang TV subtitulando filmes, series y documentales. Trabajó durante 25 años como traductora, guionista y locutura en el Servicio en Español de KBS World Radio. Enseña traducción literaria desde hace 12 años en la Academia de Traducción del LTI Korea.
